Paula Patton (born in 1960) is an American actress. She has also produced films like Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Born into a middle-class family living in Los Angeles, she harboured big dreams as a child. Her mother enjoyed watching films and inculcated a love for movies in her daughter too. Paula loved participating in school co-curricular activities and was particularly fond of drama. She played with her classmates as well as participated in school's productions. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School offered her numerous opportunities to be an actor in high school and she decided to pursue acting as a career. She was a student at in the University of Southern California for the Summer Program, and she loved the experience. She received a 3-month contract to produce documentaries on PBS. Her first job was as production assistant for television documentaries following her successful completion of the assignment. The next thing she did was start producing documentaries. Though she loved her job, she still dreamed of becoming an actress. She began her journey into acting when she appeared as Will Smith's co-star on romance comedy Hitch. In the years since, she's appeared in many films and television shows.
